CERTIFICATE OF SPECIALIZATION

IN ROOMS DIVISION

The Certificate of Specialization in Rooms Division provides the foundation for Rooms Division staff to develop key skills and knowledge in all aspects of Rooms Division. Students learn skills like receiving and processing reservation, providing accommodation reception services, preparing room for guests, controlling linen and storage and managing an on-premise laundry plant.

Course Scope

	The breath and depth of the material in this course has been derived in close conjunction with the hospitality industry.

Assessment

Duration

Full-Time
10 months
(one 4-months academic term and 6 months industrial attachment/ project work - if industrial attachment is unsuccessful)

Part-Time
12 months
(Every Monday)

Admission Requirements

For Singaporean/ Permanent Residents:
Students must have at least 'N' Levels passes including a credit pass in English or equivalent;

For Foreign Students (holders of Work permit, Employment Pass and Dependent Pass)
Students must have at least 10 years of minimum education. If the medium of Education is not English, the student must show proof of proficiency in the English Language by obtaining Band 5.0 in IELTS. Or achieve a pass in ASK English Placement Test.

This course is approved in principle by SDF. Company sponsored applicants are eligible for SDF subsidy.
